This is a logo I did for a Madison, WI-based Post Punk band called Sinking Suns. Their guitarist Scott is a good friend of mine from college, so this project was a lot of fun to work on.

They were looking to have frequency waves that morphed into a rattle snake, with circles going around it that would have a somewhat trippy effect, and confuse the eye. I added the rays around the perimeter of the circles to fill in some of the empty space, as well as tie their name into the design. 

Scott had a pretty good idea of what they were looking for, so I got to spend most of my time on this project playing with different things to make it happen, without spending time conceptualizing the design itself. I think it turned out really cool, and the band digs it, too.
